Clinical interest
Dr. Pang is primarily engaged precision medicine of urological tumor and urology minimally invasive surgery. He is highly skilled and experienced in the comprehensive prevention and treatment of prostate cancer and benign prostatic hyperplasia. His studies focus on precise medicine of prostate cancer, establishing a liquid biopsy model and imaging group model of prostate cancer for the sake of early stage screening, diagnosis, prediction of metastatic prostate cancer in lymph nodes and bones. Dr. Pang attempts to achieve individualized precision medicine for prostate cancer by revealing the molecular mechanism of invasive evolution of inert prostate cancer on the molecular level and by developing micro-molecule targeted drugs to prostate cancer targets found via imaging genomics.
Academic achievement
He has presided in 3 National Natural Science Funds, 1 Natural Fundamental Project in Guangdong Province, and more than 10 other provincial and municipal projects. He participated in 2 national key R&D projects, and led the “863 Program” and “973 Program” as vice head of the group. Dr. Pang has Published more than 60 academic papers, including over 30 SCI papers in world renowned journals including EU, Oncogene, JNCI, J.Pro. Res., Prostate etc. His innovative approach and molecular diagnosis and minimally invasive techniques of prostate cancer diagnosis and treatment won him top awards both nationally and provincially. Up till now, he has obtained 5 national invention patents. He is now supervising 3 master candidates, 4 doctor candidates and 1 post doctorate.

Dr. Pang is highly specialized in the evaluation and management of common, rare and complex diseases in urology. He is especially skilled in applying minimally invasive surgery and precision medicine to addressing urological tumors, including prostate cancer, bladder cancer, kidney cancer, renal pelvic ureteral cancer, and complex adrenal tumors. Dr. Pang is also adept at minimally invasive treatment of laparoscopic surgery, transurethral prostatectomy, pelvic organ prolapses and urinary incontinence.
