With the goal of being a world-class university, Sun Yat-sen University, established in 1924 by Dr. Sun Yat-sen who is the founding father of modern China, has recently established a campus with medical and engineering as the main disciplines in Shenzhen, located in the central area of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area. The Seventh Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, as the first directly affiliated hospital of Sun Yat-sen University in Shenzhen, is only one kilometer away from the Sun Yat-sen University in Shenzhen campus. It is regarded as the main force to undertake the medical teaching tasks in addition to being the main clinical medical teaching base of Shenzhen Campus in the future.
