Department of Nephrology & Rheumatology is the key discipline of the Seventh Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University. Our department possesses renal & rheumatic wards and a blood purification center. We have more than 40 health care professionals, including 1 professor (doctoral supervisor), 10 PhD physicians, and 10 physicians with master degree. Our healthcare providers are teamed up mainly by graduates from Sun Yat-sen University and other prestigious universities at home and abroad. We take a MDT approach where we bring together a group of specialists in kidney diseases, rheumatoid autoimmune diseases, hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, CRRT, vascular access and interventional therapy to offer you a comprehensive and personalized plan. At our department, patients have access to a variety of diagnostic tests and therapies, including kidney biopsy, complicated hemodialysis technique and complication management, dialysis access operation such as non-tunneled or tunneled central venous catheter insertion, peritoneal dialysis catheter implantation, A-V fistula (AVF/AVG) surgery and, kidney disease and vascular access interventional therapy which cover ultrasound and DSA guided techniques.
